Beneficial bacteria can replace fertilizers

Useful bacteria instead of fertilisers

Czech Academy of Sciences

In the nature, beneficial bacteria (in green) colonize plant roots and significantly stimulate their growth or resistance. In turn, plants provide them with a portion of their sugar production. The 3D picture from a confocal fluorescence microscope shows the upper part of a root and an empty seed coat of the thale cress (Arabidopsis thaliana).
