Entry into the book of records

Czech Mint, a.s.

5 kg in gold and the first entry in the Czech Book of Records. In the summer of 2021, the giant Czech lion was respectable not only for its weight but also for another primate. It featured the latest security feature, an embossed shield-shaped hologram located at the bottom of the coin's reverse side.

Records are there to be broken... Fourteen million crowns at the beginning of 2022 in one piece of gold with a relief of the national symbol of the Czech Lion weighing 10 kilograms of pure metal equipped with a safety element. This is an unsurpassed Czech record for series-produced coins. The Czech Mint is probably the fourth in the world that can produce such a large coin.
