European transport’s future is on the rails. In the tracks of legendary trains like the TGV and Pendolino, another member of the Alstom family, Avelia Horizon, is taking the symbolic title of speed. It is the only double-deck train in the world with a passenger capacity of up to 740 people which can reach an operating speed of 350 km/h. It amazes its passengers with larger windows, intelligent lighting and a quiet ride with minimal vibration, bringing an entirely new dimension to long-distance travel.

On European railways, this train represents a combination of high speed, elegant design, travel comfort and environmental consideration. Alstom, a global leader in rail transport, also has a strong presence in the Czech Republic. One of its largest rail manufacturing plants in Central Europe is in Česká Lípa. There, more than 1,400 employees are working on developing and producing modern solutions for the future of sustainable mobility.
